Ted Capener

Ted has a long and distinguished career in broadcasting, which began in 1958 with Bonneville International Corp.’s KSL Radio in Salt Lake City. Capener also served for more than nine years as chief of the Washington News Bureau for Bonneville.

Since then he has worked for a number of broadcast stations and continues his television career as the host for KUED’s Utah Conversations – a series that revolves around finding unique and interesting individuals in Utah and surrounding areas to introduce to the public. 

Ted Capener was inducted into the Utah Broadcasters Association’s Hall of Fame in June 2005 and is a member of the Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ Sliver Circle Society. Capener served as Vice President for University Relations at the University of Utah from 1985-1999.
