Having lived, studied and worked in five different states stretching from the beautiful Central Coast of California to Chicago and Washington, D.C., Danielle returned back home to Phoenix in 2014, as an Anchor/Reporter at KNXV-TV. Since joining the ABC15 team, Danielle has received an Emmy award and two Emmy nominations for “Best Anchor” in the Rocky Mountain region. The Associated Press also recognized her, and her co-anchors, as the “Best Anchor Team.”
Prior to joining the KNXV team, Danielle was a Morning Anchor for KVOA-TV’s “Tucson Today.” Her anchoring and reporting garnered an Emmy nomination and several awards from the Associated Press, including “Best Serious Feature” for her work chronicling Gabrielle Giffords’ recovery, one year after the mass shooting in Tucson.
After receiving her Master’s degree in Journalism from Northwestern University, Danielle got her official start in the business at KSBY-TV in San Luis Obispo, CA. She started as a bureau reporter and eventually became the Weekend Anchor/Weekend Executive Producer/Weekend Weather Anchor/Main Weather Fill-in and a Multimedia Journalist! She reported on several national stories and was honored with several award nominations, including “Best Spot News” and “Reporter of the Year.”
In her free time, Danielle enjoys exploring the great outdoors, mentoring aspiring journalists, spending time with friends and family and volunteering in the community. She is so grateful to be back home in the desert with her husband, Al, and their daughter, Addison, and couldn’t be more thrilled to be welcoming another little girl to the family in April!
