Joseph Ortiz has a Bachelors degree in Broadcasting with an emphasis in Video Production and a minor in English from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. Joseph has been on the Rocky Mountain Southwest National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Governing Board for over 15 consecutive years. He has been in public relations for 27 years, with 15 of those specifically in school PR.
Joseph has previously served on the Board of the Educational Access Governing Board for the City of Phoenix Education Channel. He has also served as a panel leader and judge for Emmy nominations over the last 10 years.
Joseph has served on the Board of Directors of the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA). His career in public relations has included positions at the Phoenix Union High School District, City of Tempe, Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and currently, the Roosevelt School District.
Joseph has experience as a producer, videographer, scriptwriter, and editor.
