George Davilas


George Davilas is News Director of 12 News/KPNX-TV (NBC/TEGNA) and in Phoenix, Arizona. 12 News is Arizona’s Most Watched Television Station, winner of the 2016 and 2017 Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards for Best Evening Newscast, and official home of the Arizona Cardinals.

Experienced in network, cable, syndication, local and digital multi-platform content, Davilas is an Emmy, Gracie Allen and Prism Award-winner and has held executive and producing roles for programs fronted by Anderson Cooper, Jane Pauley, Nancy Grace, John Walsh, Montel Williams, and Martha Stewart. Additional credits include MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” WCVB-TV Boston, NewsWatch 3 Worcester (MA), Court TV, “The Doctors,” “Good Morning America”​ and Inc. Magazine.

A member of the Board of Governors of the Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Davilas is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross. He also holds a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School Of Public Communications and earned a law degree from the Syracuse University College of Law.
